denied rights to U.S citizens

In America, men and women with a past conviction are denied the right to vote in 32 different states. Not only does this damage a democracy built on the right to vote but denying people the right to vote including people with past convictions is still damaging the democracy as well as what this country represents. there have been efforts across the country to try and restore ex-felons right to vote this will also add structure to the voting system because there will be much more participation in votes because there are approximately 5.1 million ex-felons who weren't allowed to have a voice in who they wanted to represent them in this past election.

  1. Ryan, what are the reasons why felons can't vote? Are there any changes that states are making related to felon voting rights?

  2. I liked what you wrote, but I think you should add some pictures so there is more of a visual. How can we get all 32 states to change there current laws so everyone has the right to vote no matter what?

  3. Which states DO alone convicted felons to vote? What is their rational for allowing the voting? Could that be used to argue the other 32 states should change their laws?

  4. Ryan, This past election has brought up a lot of issues around voting rights. Many people believe that voting rights and standards should be the same in all states. This is a very tmely topic.
